Depression & Treatment-Resistant Depression
A persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to various emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn’t worth living.
Feelings of apprehension, unease, or nervousness about what could potentially happen in the future. These feelings of dread, doubt, and fear can manifest in your body through tightness, unrest, sweating, overthinking, increased heart rate or blood pressure, and an inability to sleep.
PTSD & Stress Disorder
Most people who go through traumatic events may have temporary difficulty adjusting and coping, but they usually get better with time and good self-care. If the symptoms worsen, last for months or even years, and interfere with your day-to-day functioning, you may have PTSD.
Dramatic swings in mood from that include emotional highs, mania, and lows, depression. When you become depressed, you may feel sad or hopeless and lose interest or pleasure in most activities. When your mood shifts to mania or hypomania (less extreme than mania), you may feel euphoric, full of energy, or unusually irritable. These mood swings can affect sleep, point, activity, judgment, behavior, and the ability to think clearly.
Alcohol and Drug addiction
Addiction comes in many forms and, we believe, is a symptom of trauma. Typically it starts to cope with a challenging situation or experience and grows into a behavior negatively affecting your life. Many people who would not classify themselves as addicts use substances and behaviors to suppress their emotions. This suppression leads to distance from the people and things you once loved.
This generalized pain disorder is characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory, and mood issues. Symptoms often begin after an event, such as physical trauma, surgery, infection, or significant psychological stress.
A pattern of unwanted thoughts and fears (obsessions) leads you to repetitive behaviors (compulsions). These obsessions and compulsions interfere with daily activities and cause significant distress. Ultimately, you feel driven to perform compulsive acts to try to ease your stress. Despite efforts to ignore or get rid of bothersome thoughts or urges, they keep coming back.
